Travel guide: planning postcards in 2014

We’ll be enjoying more spectacular views as the backdrop for intense World Cup stages, international invitational and world championships. In conjunction with the World Archery in-office travel agent, here are the five places we’re most looking forward to seeing in 2014:

5) Legnica versus Wroclaw (pictured), both in Poland… it’s close. Student world championships or last World Cup stage. Also the country in which World Archery was founded!

4) Sun, sea, sand. The south Turkey resort of Antalya is a World Cup host veteran for good reason.

3) The Alps look enticing all year round. Lausanne’s back on the calendar – and will become the only city to host the World Cup Final two times in September. We won’t have to travel far (our offices are in the Olympic Capital), but if you can make it, you should. This is the fountain next to the finals field!

2) In the last few years, Mexican archers have exploded. Not literally, that wouldn’t be anything to shout about. From Linda OCHOA to Aida ROMAN and everyone else on their squad… especially the women’s teams… Mexico has talent. So the Pan American Olympic Festival is going to be worth watching. This is from last year’s Mexican Challenge:

1) Oh, and South America is just downright beautiful. Disagree? You’re wrong! Fifty percent more countries have already registered to compete at Medellin this year than last. Why? Because it’s a fantastic event, run by great people… and held in a beautiful city.
