Three archery training schools are now operational in the regions of Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and Sharjah. The archery clubs recently participated at the 5th Arabian Archery Competition and achieved a silver medal in the cadet category.
Earlier this year, the Arabian Archery Federation conducted several courses which covered topics such as training, judging, competition management, history of archery. The courses gathered 108 participants not only from the UAE, but also from Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Morocco and Jordan. Experts and participants were really satisfied with the outcome of this great initiative and all eager to further develop archery in their respective countries.
World Archery would like to congratulate the UAE Sports authorities and Arab Archery Federation for their great initiative and contribution to the development of archery in the region.
