International judge Vigdis LANDSKAUG passes away

Vigdis died on 29 March 2014 after a lengthy struggle against cancer. She was a former top archer that, after the boycotting of the 1980 Moscow Olympics, turned to coaching and judging with significant success.

Active in the development of archery in Norway, Vigdis was elected to World Archery Norway’s executive board before becoming president of the association in 2008. It was a position she would have to withdraw from due to her illness.

A respected World Archery international judge, Vigdis will be missed in Norway and worldwide. On behalf of the whole archery family, World Archery’s thoughts are for Vigdis’ family at this time.
