IOC launches online learning for athletes
Recognising the challenges athletes face in pursuing education alongside sporting excellence, the International Olympic Committee has launched an online platform delivering engaging and educational content to a worldwide athlete audience.

It’s completely free to use and suitable for Olympians and aspiring athletes alike. While it will be constantly updated with lectures and lessons from leading academics, athletes and inspiring individuals, the MOOC has launched with two exclusive courses.
Smarter Training for Better Performance examines the impact diet has on training and competition, while the issues around identifying talent are covered in Can Champions be Made?
Next to be available through MOOC is an Athlete Career Transition guide, presented by former Olympic biathlete champion Vincent Defrasne. “At some point, every athlete has to retire… this course will give first-hand experience from Olympic athletes and help guide a way through education, life skills and employment.”
Think it sounds useful to you? Check out the brand-new MOOC, and register today to access its free online courses. Read the full press release from the International Olympic Committee.
