Khatuna talks Youth Olympics trip in Shanghai

The USA’s Khatuna LORIG was announced as the athlete rolemodel for archery at Nanjing 2014 some months ago, and with the event nearing closer she’s looking forward to another Olympic experience.

It’ll be a little different this time around, though – as she won’t be competing. As well as imparting some of her hard-earned – over five Olympic Games – knowledge, she’s hoping to be a little “inspired” by the new generation of elite archery athletes.

Her favourite Olympic memory is no longer Barcelona, she says, but London 2012 – where she came within scratching distance of an individual medal. Maybe Nanjing – or the Rio Games she’s training towards – will soon overtake that in her mind!

Watch her flash interview with the Win&Win Archery Fan Reporter at Shanghai below or on Archery TV.
