Birthday treat for Colombia’s Sara LOPEZ
Post by World Archery.
“I’m Sara LOPEZ and I was born… today,” she let out in an interview with the Win&Win Archery Fan Reporter at the end of competition.
“I got candy, pizza, some gifts from the Danish team… and a perfect score and a place in the gold medal match.” Which present do you think the now-19 year old liked best?
Sara broke out onto the international scene at Antalya last year, taking gold and smiling her way into an army of avid LOPEZ fans. Top eight finishes at the last two World Cup stages won her a spot at the Paris 2013 Final, but she missed out on a medal before cheering on teammate Alejandra USQUIANO as she took the title.
The tables are turned at Shanghai. USQUIANO could do nothing to stop LOPEZ’s 150 in their semifinal, and will be supporting her Colombian teammate against Korean CHOI Bomin on Saturday.
All there is left to say is: happy birthday, Sara LOPEZ!
