Mali mission to introduce sport with bamboo equipment while nation applies for affiliation
The aim of the development project was to assist this young archery federation in introducing the sport with the support of the bamboo equipment programme and provide educational tools.
The workshop gathered six participants for four days to learn how to make locally made equipment and receive safety guidance to practice. A meeting with the National Olympic Committee took place on the last day to discuss plans for the future and development possibilities offered through the NOC with the support of the Olympic Solidarity programmes.
This country has submitted a membership application file conformed to World Archery rules. Member associations and Executive Board members have 60 days to raise in writing any objection to this request of membership.
Without any serious objection until 1 January 2015, a temporary membership will be granted to the Mali Archery Federation until the 2015 Congress where the final membership of this national archery association will be submitted to a vote.
World Archery would like to congratulate Mali for their perseverance and determination to develop archery aside state of crisis the country is dealing with for the last two years.
