SportAccord Academy Launches Free Online Course Teaching Sports Management

The latest initiative of SportAccord will bring specialised sports learning to the general public and to the invested stakeholders of the member international sports federations. It provides an opportunity for national federations and clubs to gain greater insights into the sports world. This programme will be useful for event organisers, sports administrators, sports club, as well as for organisation management and everybody who is interested in sport management.

The SportAccord Academy has opened with the ‘Certified Sports Professional’ massive online open course (MOOC) that is aimed at increasing knowledge about the Sports World and providing sports enthusiasts around the world with an opportunity to gain professional understanding of the workings of sports organisations.

Registrations to the first SportAccord Academy’s massive open online course are now open up until 20 April 2015. This six-week course is recommended for those who are already working or intend to work in sport management in sports clubs and federations. Upon completing this course, participants will be equipped with hands-on knowledge and skills to manage sport organisations and facilities and to deliver sports events.

As it progresses, SportAccord Academy will be developing more educational content, aimed at specific needs, enhancing the global sporting family with better trained, educated and skilled individuals.
