International training camp underway in Legnica

Athletes from Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Iran, Virgin Islands US, Mexico, New Zealand and the USA travelled directly from the Copenhagen 2015 World Archery Championships to a holding camp in Legnica, Poland, ahead of the third stage of the Archery World Cup in Wroclaw.

“The facilities were excellent and the camp was well organised,” said Colombia’s Camilo Cardona, who was a finalist at the worlds in Copenhagen.

Legnica hosted the World Archery Youth Championships in 2011 and the 2014 World Archery University Championships.

“Having an opportunity to stay and practise in Europe rather than making the trip back home, while keeping up my normal competition preparation routine, will put me in the best possible shape for the World Cup.”

The athletes in Legnica will continue their journey to Wroclaw and join 270 athletes from 45 countries as the 2015 Archery World Cup circuit resumes.
