The athlete was found in violation of Article 2.1 and 2.2 of the Korean Anti-Doping Code after testing positive for the in-competition prohibited substance Methylprednisolone, which belongs to the glucocorticoids class of the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited list.

The sanctions imposed are as follows:

  • Disqualification of all prizes, points and medals obtained at the Korean national para archery championships in 2019.
  • A five-month suspension until 2 March 2020.
