World Archery newsletter: August 2020

The latest edition for August 2020 has a round-up of news published on the World Archery website in the past month and other relevant information:

  • Implementation of a system of international blocks from 2021 to add consistency to the international calendar.
  • Release of #BacktoArchery campaign logo set with requirements and guidelines for hosting a world ranking event during the upcoming transition period. 
  • World Archery’s fourth online Summer Summit on 30 August focused on coaching.
  • World Archery joining the Global Esports Federation, whose vision is to organise a worldwide ecosystem around video game sporting events.

It also includes an update on events, including the announcement of the first world ranking event following the COVID-19 pandemic, which is being held on 2-4 October in Antalya, Turkey, as well as the one-year postponement and new dates in 2021 for the 18th ISF Gymnasiade (School Summer Games) in Jinjiang, China.

There is also notice of the upcoming member association call on the subject of post-COVID-19 strategies for national federations and a programme of seminars on gender equality being run by the International Olympic Committee.
