Preview: Asian para archery stars go for continental titles at Beijing 2025

Ninety-three athletes from 13 countries are set to compete at the 2025 Asian Para Archery Championships, which take place at the China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities centre in Beijing, China.
The last edition of the biannual competition was held in 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. Two champions from that event – compound archers Nur Syahidah Alim of Singapore and Rakesh Kumar of India – return this year to defend their titles.
The venue, located on the outskirts of the Chinese capital, is the largest parasport centre in the world. It previously hosted the 2017 World Para Archery Championships.
Host nation China is fielding a full squad, with the maximum four athletes in each category. Notably absent in the recurve events is Wu Chunyan, the reigning Paralympic Champion from Paris 2024.
World number one and Paralympic Champion Harvinder Singh is among the top names competing. The Indian archer, who recently spoke to World Archery about his ambitions for the season, is seeking a first Asian title in the recurve men’s event.
