Singapore 2010 videos – Culture and Education Programme
Lausanne
The athletes in these videos participated in the Singapore 2010 sports competitions, and, for the first time ever, in the Culture and Education Programme (CEP). The CEP, as we call it, offered heaps of fun activities around the themes of Olympism and the Olympic values, skills development, well-being and healthy lifestyle, social responsibility and expression. Check out the first video and find out what the Olympic values are, along with some great advice from top Olympians and a glimpse into life in the Youth Olympic Village. You may have understood from watching the video that the Olympic values are universal, not just for athletes but for everyone. Sport helps understand these values which are important in our daily lives. So embrace these values and live by them! After the first video about the Olympic values, find out how to perform at your best in the second video. Being a healthy athlete is all about balance: living a healthy lifestyle and balancing your nutrition in preparation for training and competition. Discover also the importance of warming-up and cooling down for injury prevention. This video will teach you that every little thing counts when you want to perform at your best! The plan is to produce 15 videos in all dealing with the five CEP themes which were developed with the seven format activities in Singapore 2010.
