Mr Werner BEITER (GER) has been a great promoter of World Archery for decades. He has invented a very, very large list of archery products and accessories based on a thorough scientific approach.
He is well known for his direct donations of materials to archers and federations who cannot afford to buy equipment at a high level. He has also assisted archers from around the world with his knowledge in tuning their equipment since 1997 in the “Werner & Iris Training Centre” in Dauchingen. Dauchingen is known worldwide as a result of the work of Mr BEITER.
He was the first to use a high speed camera to analyse shooting in archery and he is still fine-tuning this approach.
His contribution to archers worldwide is well known by everyone.
The FITA Council was very happy to accept the proposal by the German Archery Association, which was reviewed by the Board of Trustees, to award the Golden Arrow Award to Mr BEITER.
