Gold for Russia, Silver for Slovenia and Italy
Moscow
The Ski Archery World Championships have continued today with the Mass Start Event, with slightly colder conditions.
In the Men’s competition there was an exciting Russia-Slovenia battle in the race lead, with 2 athletes of these 2 nations eventually finishing at the first 4 places in a 46-second gap. The Gold went to Russian Konstantin Pogorelov, while Slovenian Vid Voncina took the Silver and Russian Vladimir Evtyukov took the Bronze. Slovenian Andrey Zupan, at the 4th place, realized an amazing perfect 0 penalty shooting score out of the whole 16 arrows, but this was not enough for him to join his countryman Vid Voncina on the podium.
