Leipzig 2007: New Record for Preliminaries

We have now 627 athletes from 82 nations on the preliminary entry list for the 44th World Outdoor Championships in Leipzig. The fact that FITA reduced the maximum number of participants from 4 to 3 by member association for each category is compensated by the FITA development activities.   We will see many new countries participating for the very first time in the World Outdoor Championships. Once more this shows the effect of the development programs that FITA together with Olympic Solidarity and our Development Fund Partners has put in place. 

The deadline for the final entries is set on 15 June 2007.
