Mr Istvan Gyulai passed away

Lausanne – 14 March 2006

It is with the greatest sadness that we have learned the death of Mr Istvan Gyulai Secretary General of IAAF, last Sunday.

Mr. Gyulai devoted his entire life to sport. After an athlete and journalist career, he became the Secretary General of the IAAF in 1991.

FITA would like to present its condolences and deepest sympathy to Mr Gyulai’s loved ones, friends and to the whole Track and Field community.
