The third FITA Think Tank meeting took place in Antalya.
FITA hosted a third Think Tank meeting over the weekend and the Strategic Plan for 2007-2012 is getting in shape. The plan is to ensure a breakthrough for the sport of Archery so it is one of the internationally recognized important Olympic sports.
During a two days meeting hosted by the Turkish Archery Federation, 20 representatives from 4 continents discussed on the 5 key subjects: identity, events, promotion, partnerships and expansion. Also two FITA Sponsors, Swiss Timing and Meteksan System, actively participated in the meeting.
The plan is now coming to its final drafting stage and in August the steering group will make a draft Strategic Plan which will be then be circulated to the Member Associations for comments and reactions. During all key events in 2006 and 2007 the plan will be discussed with the archery family and external stakeholders so that everyone involved can give input.
Now the FITA Office and TSE Consulting will integrate the new ideas into the plan. A questionnaire has also been sent to all Member Associations for guidance to the plan. After the discussion and agreements, the implementation will start at the 2007 FITA Congress.
