“It is indeed a very sad day for all of us in the archery world to see the passing of our dearest friend Mr. Donald  M. Lovo (very dearly known as Don).

 

Don had in his active life been a pillar to FITA and had given many years of his life devoting to archery. He also made great contributions to help promote and support archery in Asia.

 

He held many positions in our archery tournaments in SOUTH EAST ASIA GAMES, ASIAN GAMES and ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS such as T/D, Chairman of Jury and FITA representative of the latest was here in Bangkok in FEB. 14–17, 2006. When he was the chairman of Jury. He was also the second speaker after the FITA President Dr. ERDENER in our opening ceremony.

 

No amount of words can express our sincere thanks to Don for this contributions to archery in Asia.

 

On behalf of our Asian Federation and South East Asia Federation please convey our deepest condolence to his family. Don will always remain in our hearts.”
