Postponed from Friday, the semi finals in compound offered two sudden death shoot-offs. The Wilde brothers, Van Natta and Goncharova went through.

Logan Wilde (USA) beat Ruben Ochoa (MEX) at the end of a much closed games. The score per ends were 28-28 pts, 56-55, 84-84, and finally 112-111 pts. His brother Reo had a two points advantage after 3 ends (89-87) that he couldn’t sustain until the end. Tied at 117 pts, he went through a double shoot off to beat local favorite Jorge Jimenez (ESA). They both hit a 9 at the first arrow, before Reo hit a 10 compared to a 9 for Jorge.

Another American, Jamie Van Natta, will also play in the final, winning her semis in shoot off versus Almendra Ochoa (MEX). The scores of the game went 30-28, 56-55, 84-84, 113-113 pts. In the shoot-off, only Van Natta scored a 10. Ochoa said, “I shot a good game at 113 pts. In the shoot-off, at the release I felt my arrow went a bit too much on the left. At the end, it was only about 1 cm too much on the left for a 9. I hope I will take my revenge against Jahna Davis (USA) tomorrow because she beat me for 3rd place in Porec.” The other finalist will be the new world record holder Sofia Goncharova (RUS) who easily beat Jahna Davis (USA) 117 to 105 pts.
