Training Camp at the MEAC for the Libyan Team
Lausanne, 22 September 2006
The National Libyan Archery team has run a 3 week training camp at the FITA Middle East Archery Center.
Less than 2 years ago, the Libyan Shooting and Archery Federation hosted an Olympic Solidarity Level 2 Coaching course. Now the dynamic leaders of this organization are striving to raise the Libyan archery to the level 3, with a further aim to the world class. For reaching this goal, a delegation of eleven members (9 archers – 1 coach and 1 coordinator) arrived on August 29, 2006 at FITA Middle East Archery Center, set at the Wadi Degla Sporting Club in Maadi (Cairo), for a 3 week training camp. One coach and five archers were sponsored by FITA.
The short term objective of this team is the 5th Arabic Championship to be held in Cairo in November 2006.
FITA congratulates the Libyan Shooting and Archery Federation for their plan, efforts and choice for getting better results and wish them to reach their goals.
