“Viva América” Programme

More than 20 Archers from 13 National Archery Federations to compete under the auspices of the FITA “Viva América” Programme!
The “Viva America” Programme has been designed and managed in coordination with the ‘Justice for Athletes’ organisation and the CESEP for Fair Play.
In view of the 9th Junior and 3rd Cadet World Championship “Mexico 2006”, FITA decided taking into consideration the results of the region, to give an additional boost to the Americas, by having a programme allowing archers from COPARCO to participate in Mexico. Each Pan-American FITA Member Association was entitled to propose a maximum of 2 athletes for this scholarship.
FITA is pleased to announce that more than 20 Archers from 13 National Archery Federations are competing at the moment in Merida, Mexico under the auspices of “Viva América”. Out of the 13 Federations 9 of them would not been able to attend the event without the support of “Viva América”.
After the qualification rounds (144 arrows) on 16-17 October the best results by “Viva América” archers are: Recurve Cadet Men Ø 8. Carlos BAEZ (PUR) Recurve Junior Women Ø 9. Mariangel COLMENARES (VEN) Compound Cadet Men Ø 4. Paris GOICO de LARA (DOM) Ø 12. Daniel CASTRO (PUR) Compound Cadet Women Ø 10. Claudia GUEVARA (ESA) Compound Junior Men Ø 15.
