No doubt this final was THE match of the day and of the whole 2006 World Cup.   Recurve Women – Zhang Juan Juan (CHN) vs. Qian Jialing (CHN) Big upset for the two times World Cup Series winner (Antalya and San Salvador). The Chinese 18-year old Qian Jialing. Facing her teammate Zhang Juan Juan for gold in the Recurve Women category, she achieved a disappointing 103 to let the 1st place and World Cup victory go, as Zhang totalized 107 points.   Recurve Men – Ilario Di Buo (ITA) vs. Park Kyung-Mo (KOR) The Korean Park Kyung-Mo has given additional evidence that Asians are the reigning over Recurve Archery.
