Final entries for South Pacific Games 2007 Lausanne – 23 March 2007   The XIII South Pacific Games (SPG 2007) will be held in Apia, Samoa from 27 August to 1 September 2007. This quadrennial festival is the main sport event in the Pacific. New stadiums for several sports have been built and a permanent archery venue has been tested during the Oceania biannual Championship in October 2006.   The final entries for archery show a participation of 77 archers from 11 countries, 47 men and 30 women. As a comparison, in SPG 2003 in Fiji only 32 archers from 5 countries participated in the archery event.   FITA has at the time 17 Member Associations in the Oceania continent. Australia and New Zealand are not eligible to participate in the Pacific Games and four other Member Associations are still building up their level of archery. The young FITA members Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Solomon Islands will take part in the SPG archery competition for the first time part.   Find more information on SPG 2007 and SPG 2003.
