The 16th World Transplant Games to be held in Bangkok
Lausanne – 25 May 2007
Thailand will host the 16th World Transplant Games in Bangkok from 26 August to 1 September 2007. There will be 14 sports, including archery as a demonstration sport for the first time.
For now eight countries have said they would participate in these games: Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Slovenia, Thailand, United Kingdom and Australia. There may be even more countries interested in participating in this event, as the entry deadline is set on 31 May.
The competition will be held on two days according to the following schedule: team manager meeting and official practice on 26 August; competition and medal ceremony on 27 August.
The format will be held in both individual Men and Women category. The archers will shoot at 50 and 30 meters on a 122 cm target face. There will be no age groups, no juniors.
The National Archery Association of Thailand (NAAT) will support all field equipments.
