Come and visit Leipzig, host of the Archery World Championships 2007

 
Many festive events will be organized before and during these World Championships. At the very popular "Stadtfest Leipzig" to be held on 1-3 June, Paralympics-Winner Mario Oehme will open this event by shooting an arrow to an aim placed at the top of the roof of the "Altes Rathaus" -the old Town Hall in Leipzig.
  As a part of the show, archery will be present on ZDF on 1 July 2007 in the "Fernsehgarten" and in a famous talk-show called "Riverboat" on MDR on 23 June. On the same day there will be a trailer in the most seen German sports programme “Aktuelles Sportstudio” (ZDF).   There will be further advertisements via flyers in every office of the BARMER health insurance (more than fifty in the city of Leipzig and the region). For one month (17 June to 15 July) there will also be a short spot shown 200 times daily at the video wall of the main railway station in the city centre. The organizers will also have the poster of the event posted all over the city of Leipzig.   Big demand for WCH-Tickets This event is most certainly worth a trip for all fans of archery. There are tickets still available for the weekend of 14-15 July, when the individual and team finals will take place. However, the tribunes 1 and 2 for the final weekend are already sold out. Because of such a big demand in the last days there are only tickets available for tribune 3.
