World Cup Participation Record in Antalya!

It is now official! With 332 archers from 51 countries, the Meteksan Archery World Cup 2007 Stage 3 in Antalya (TUR) is the largest one.
The final participation figures are the following:
Recurve Men:
124 individuals / 30 teams
Recurve Women:
105 individuals / 24 teams
Compound Men:
59 individuals / 12 teams
Compound Women:
44 individuals / 9 teams
Total:
332 archers from 51 countries
All the archers shoot in qualifications today and tomorrow. The top 64 archers and a maximum of 16 teams per category will play the elimination matches later on during the week.
The Recurve Women and the Compound Men shoot their FITA Round today. They release four rounds of 36 arrows, respectively at distances of:
- 90, 70, 50 and 30 meters for men.
- 70, 60, 50 and 30 meters for women.
The Recurve Men and the Compound Women will take on the field Wednesday.
The previous records for a World Cup were 330 archers during the 2006 edition in Antalya and 322 archers for the opening last year in Porec (CRO).
The participation at World Championships is nevertheless and logically higher. There were 488 participants from 69 countries at the New York World Championships in 2003. For the upcoming World Championships in Leipzig (GER) next July, FITA received 619 preliminary entries.
