Training Camp Possibility - FITA Middle East Archery Centre Lausanne – 29 June 2007   Eligible FITA Member Associations:   Armenia Azerbaijan Bulgaria Cyprus Georgia Greece Iran Iraq Jordan Kazakhstan Kuwait Lebanon Qatar Romania Saudi Arabia Sudan Syria Turkmenistan Uzbekistan Algeria Morocco Tunisia Libya Laos Vietnam Sir Lanka Croatia Bosnia Herzegovina Malta Montenegro San Marino Cambodia           Dear Eligible Member Associations,   Following the decision taken by FITA and supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Sport Department to set up an Archery Training Centre, the FITA Middle East Archery Training Centre (MEAC) was inaugurated in May 2006. The MEAC is located in the Wadi Degla Sporting Club (Sporting Club of the Degla Valley) in the Maadi neighbourhood of Cairo, Egypt.   This project is focused on having a high level International Archery Training Centre in order to offer specialised services to all FITA Member Associations such as: Coaches’ Training Courses, Training Camps for youth and elite archers, team camp preparation etc. The well known Korean archery Coach, Mr. KIM Jeong-Ho was hired to be the official FITA coach and representative at the Training Centre.   FITA Development is inviting your Member Association, to submit the applications for attending a training camp and/or coaching course at the MEAC. Please see attached the MEAC Pamphlet for more detailed information on this training centre:   To successful applications FITA Development would offer to finance:   1.     Full board Accommodation at the MEAC for a period of two weeks – 2 Female and 2 Male Archers and the Team Coach – USD2100 (5-persons) 2.     Payment of Visa Fees – USD100 (5-persons) 3.     Transport from and to the Airport – USD250 (5-persons)   Studding case by case basis FITA Development would offer some support for flight expenses always limited to our budget resources.   Applications have to include:          Archers: 1.     Detailed sport resume of each archer 2.     All scores of each archer achieved during official tournaments over the current and past year; 3.     Number and duration of the training sessions per week over the current and past year (for archers and coaches); 4.     Description of the archery equipment used by each archer; 5.     Description of the level and volume of other sport development activities such as strengthening; 6.     Candidates should never have committed a doping violation   Coach: 1.     Detailed sport resume of the Team Coach 2.     Description and level of their archers, as well as their status (amateur, part-time or full-time); 3.     Experience and coaching education level   In order to stay within our budget we will accept only a limited number of applications – “First comes first service” Policy – Always based on the quality of the applications.   For submitting your applications please contact:   Mr. Pascal COLMAIRE, FITA Development and Coaching Director: pcolmaire@archery.org   Ms. Mayi Cruz Blanco, FITA Development and Coaching Coordinator: mcruzblacno@archery.org   The deadline for submitting applications is: 15th July 2007   FITA Development look forward to receiving your applications and remain at your disposal should you require further information!   FITA Development Department
