International Mixed Team Challenge Preview
Dover – 3 August 2007
For the first time in history, FITA is staging a Mixed Team Event during the World Cup Stage 4 in Dover. The event will take place Friday afternoon as of 13h30 and many World Champions or medallists will compete!
This Mixed Team Event will be an exhibition that fans should appreciate. World Champions such as Goncharova (RUS), Ericsson (SWE), Frangilli (ITA), recent medallists like Gellenthien (USA), Tsyrempilov (RUS), Erdyniyeva (RUS) and top archers such as Jimenez (ESA), Brasseur (FRA) and many others will gather together for this exciting new event.
The international mixed team challenge will be played with the following rules:
- There will be two competitions with 16 Recurve Mixed Teams and 16 Compound Mixed Teams
- Each team is composed of one woman and one man that can come from two different countries (upon FITA draw)
- Scoring is based on Hit/Miss - yellow (9+10) is a hit - 122 cm target face for Recurve, 80 cm for Compound
- 4 ends of 6 arrows – 3 arrows per archer – 2 minutes for 6 arrows
There will be four Hoyt bows given to the winners and also prizes given by Easton arrows.
