“Though it is not the real Olympic Games, I am quite happy to win the gold medal. It is a pity that this test event is not the Beijing Olympic Games, but I felt as nervous as if it were the real one. Before I came to Beijing, I surfed on the internet to check the archery venue here in Beijing. After I arrived I found that it is much better than I expected. The first purpose of participating in this test event was that we wanted to test the performance of our archers, and the second was to get familiar with the climate, the field, the facilities and the environment here.
On the preparation after returning home:
“In order to achieve a good result next year in the Beijing Olympic Games, we will adopt some specific and special training, such as to simulate the field with similar wind conditions and heat. I hope our players can gain the same result next year.”
