Russian speaking Youth Camp starts delivering first results Lausanne – 23 October 2007 Elena and young athletes listening to Vladimir Esheev    The Youth Training Camp organized in September in Ankara, Turkey has started delivering its first results with the example of Elena Li. This young athlete from Kazakhstan set personal records in a competition right after the camp.   At the initiative of the FITA President, Dr Ugur Erdener, a program was designed in order to enhance Archery within the Russian speaking countries. The project targets three major development activities: Coaching, Judging and the Athletes themselves. A Judging seminar in April 2007 was followed by a Coaching seminar in May - both held in Antalya, Turkey - and a Youth Training Camp was organized in September in Ankara with a total of 25 participants from 10 countries.      Elena shooting at a competition in her countryAfter the Youth Training Camp in Ankara, Elena Li from Kazakhstan took part in a competition in her country where she won the 1st place. In the qualification round she established a personal record with 1250 points. Later on she added a personal best to her records with 110 points in the final round.   “I think my participation in the Youth Camp helped me very much to improve myself and succeed in this competition. This Youth Camp was very helpful for me and I feel like I grew up the last one month”, Elena said after her performance.   FITA Communication
