Annual Meeting of the Medical Committee in Aalborg Aalborg – 25 March 2007   The FITA Medical Committee held its annual meeting in Aalborg, Denmark, on 23 and 24 March 2005. The chairman Karol Hibner (POL), members Nancy Littke (CAN), Emin Ergen (TUR), Jean-Claude Lapostolle (FRA), Carlos Hermes (GUA), as well as Françoise Dagouret from the FITA Office were all present for this meeting.   All aspects of the FITA anti-doping programme, including the specificity of archery regarding performance-enhancing drugs, testing methods, TUE and Anti-Doping panels, cooperation with WADA (FITA is one of the International Federations being part of the WADA’s Reference Group on its Anti-Doping Administration Management System – ADAMS) were discussed by the Committee.   On the medical and scientific aspects, the Committee reviewed the study resulting from the injury survey conducted during the Junior World Championships in Lilleshall, Great-Britain (the complete document will be available soon on the FITA website). The next steps of this project were defined in details.   The Committee members also acknowledged the success of the Sport science and medicine book in archery and discussed contents for a second edition. Cooperation with Continental Associations and other FITA Committees were also discussed.   FITA Communication
