5 December 2007 - AAF Coaching Seminar in Nepal

AAF Coaching Seminar in Nepal Kathmandu – 5 December 2007 (Photo by Rajesh Gurung)    An AAF (Asian Archery Federation) Coaches Seminar and Training was held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 4-18 November 2007. It was successfully conducted by the AAF expert Mr Henry D. Manalang from the Philippines.   A total of 30 coaches and archers, mainly from Kathmandu and Pokhara, participated in this seminar and training session. Judging from responses received from the participants, this seminar was a great success and will definitely go a long way for the development of Archery as a sport in Nepal.   The closing ceremony was attended by the honourable Minister for Education and Sports Mr Mohan Singh Rathaur, the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Mr Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, the Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council and NOC Secretary General Mr Jeevan Ram Shrestha, as well as the President of the Nepal Archery Association (NAA) Mr Laxman Shrestha.   The event was extensively covered by national daily newspapers.   Dipak Raj Gurung Secretary General NAA Edited FITA Communication
