New President for the Federation of African Archery
Lausanne - 28 February 2008
At the latest FAA Congress held in Cairo during the African Championship and Continental Qualifying Tournament, Andrew Omalla (UGA) has been elected President of the Federation of African Archery (FAA).
He takes over Konrad van Warmelo (RSA) who has been 13 years at the head of this Continental Archery Association. Konrad has expressed his pleasure to leave the African archery in a much better shape than when he took the presidency of the FAA.
Andrew Omalla, a well known former International Judge, who had been appointed to several major events including Olympic Games, was surprised to be elected with so many votes. He has a lot of dreams for the African Archery. Andrew has appointed Ganeshan Chettiar (MRI) as the Secretary General of the FAA.
Best wishes to both of them!
