PRESS RELEASE   Lausanne (SUI) – 10 April 2008     Copenhagen will host World Cup Final in 2009   From left to right: Tom Dielen, Rolf Lind (President    of Danish Archery Association) and Lars Valentin    FITA, represented by FITA Secretary General Tom Dielen, and Wonderful Copenhagen, represented by Lars Valentin, signed on 9 April the organizers agreement for the Archery World Cup Final to be hosted in downtown Copenhagen on 26 September 2009.   FITA Secretary General accompanied by FITA Event Director Juan Carlos Holgado visited Copenhagen and the possible venues for the event. FITA Secretary General stated that: “Copenhagen is a city that is a wonderful combination of the heritage of Danish Culture, modern design and a sustainable development. This makes a perfect match with the values of the sport of Archery.”  Lars Valentin added: “Copenhagen is a very active sports city and especially in 2009 will host many important Sport events. The Archery World Cup Final will be the last event prior to the Olympic Congress and we will be able to show Copenhagen combined with the sport of Archery.”   The exact venue will be finalized in the coming weeks but the sites visited show fantastic potential. Once more Archery will surprise after some other excellent venues.   The event will be hosted in partnership with Wonderful Copenhagen and Sport Event Denmark.   FITA Communication
