Special action in favour of Yaron Tal
Porec – 15 April 2008
The Israeli archer and coach Yaron Tal is suffering from a cancer and needs to go through an expensive treatment. The “Friends for Cure” Association has been created to collect funds and help him cover the costs. A special action is taking place at the Archery World Cup Stage 2 in Porec, Croatia: bracelets will be sold in favour of Yaron Tal.
Yaron Tal from Israel is 34 years old and is an international level professional athlete, the only Israeli archer with achievements approaching Olympic criteria. In the recent years he has become the coach of the Israeli National Team. However, Yaron’s brilliant career was cut short when he was diagnosed with cancer of the colon. He is now hospitalized in Tel-Aviv and needs to go through a very expensive medical treatment.
Yaron’s friends have created the “Friends for Cure” Association to help him cover part of the treatment’s costs. Moreover, a special action is being organized this week at the Archery World Cup Stage 2 in Porec, Croatia where a bracelet will be sold to help Yaron cover part of his treatment. The FITA Athletes committee is behind this initiative and is showing that the archers form a real family.
Ø Bracelet Action Information
FITA Family sends Yaron Tal their best wishes for a prompt recovery, looking forward to seeing him again on the field soon!
