29 April 2008 - Longines offers a Watch to each Winner

Longines offers a Watch to each Winner Lausanne – 29 April 2008   Since the beginning of 2008, Longines is the new official partner of the Archery World Championships and Archery World Cup. This prestigious brand, which is celebrating 130 years of sports timekeeping this year, finds this discipline encompasses the values it cherishes – precision, tradition and elegance. Longines will offer a watch to each winner of the World Cup and the World Championships.

The athletes have been delighted to receive a watch from such a famous brand at the first two stages of the World Cup in Santo Domingo and Porec in the past few weeks. Some of the usual favourites even hope to start a collection. This year Longines will offer different models of the dolce vita and evidenza.   Longines evidenza: an expanding universe Since its launch, the Longines evidenza collection has been received with enthusiasm all over the world. Celebrated for both the classic elegance of its tonneau-shaped case and its purely horological excellence, it reaffirmed yet again Longines’ uniquely stylish way with technology. The stainless steel case of this tonneau-shaped Longines evidenza chronograph protects a self-winding mechanical movement L650 with a 28,800 vibrations per hour beat and 46 hours of power reserve. A scratch-resistant and non-reflecting crystal shields a silvered “flinqué” dial enhanced by blue painted Arabic numerals, a subdial for the seconds at 3 o’clock, a 12-hours totalizer at 6 o’clock, a 30-minutes totalizer at 9 o’clock and a date aperture at 6 o’clock. Fine dark brown genuine leather strap. This watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (100 feet).   This year Longines will be the official partner of the Archery Field World Championships in Llwynypia (Wales, on 1-6 September), as well as of the four stages and the final of the Archery World Cup. The next two stages will take place in Antalya (Turkey, on 27-31 May) and Boé (France, on 23-28 June).   FITA Communication
