World Games 2009 in Chinese Taipei: Quota Places

The 8th World Games will be held in Kaoshiung, Chinese Taipei, from 16-26 July 2009. Archery will be on the programme with a Field Event from 24-26 July. 96 archers will take part in the archery event of the 8th World Games. There will be women and men in the Barebow, Recurve and Compound divisions.
The delegations will arrive on 22 July and depart on 27 July. Competitors from outside Asia may arrive one day earlier provided the Kaoshiung Organising Committee (OC) is notified early enough to arrange for hotel-accommodation.
The quota places will be granted according to the final results of the 2008 FITA Field Archery World Championships (FAWC) to be held in Llwynypia, Wales, Great Britain, on 1-6 September 2008. The Nations are qualified in accordance with the result list and with a maximum of 2 archers in each class and division. The organizing country will have one free spot in each class and division, however, maximum two spots. In addition FITA and IWGA (International World Games Association) may allow 1 free spot in each class and division for invited nations – all within the allowed quota of 96 archers.
