Middle East Archery Centre – Activities in April Cairo (EGY) – 30 April 2008   Mediterranean Coaching Course at MEAC One of the main objectives of FITA Development Department for 2008 is to reinforce archery in the Mediterranean countries through education of the coaches. The first coaching camp has been taking place from 7 April to 6 May 2008 with support of Olympic Solidarity and the National Olympic Committees. This course has welcomed 5 coaches from 4 countries.   This programme is considered a sustainable development since it aims at educating the coaches who will then prepare their athletes. The final goal is to raise the archery level and increase the participation at major competitions and Olympic Games.   Teams at the MEAC The Estonian team (13 people) and Hungarian team (3 people) completed their 10 days training camp at the MEAC on 7 April under the supervision of coach Mun.   The Coaching Course for Mediterranean countries will be completed on 6 May. Mr Mark Javier, archer from the Philippines, will then arrive for a training camp ending on 16 July 2008. Coach Mun will be at the Antalya World Cup on the 27-31 May and will return in Cairo on 23 June. The Irish team will arrive at the MEAC on 29 June.   FITA Development Department
