PRESS RELEASE   Lausanne (SUI) – 23 May 2008     MBC is exclusive broadcaster for archery in Korea   The International Archery Federation (FITA) is pleased to announce that it has signed an exclusive contract with MBC Korea for the Archery World Cup and World Championships.   This contract is one more step in the FITA television strategy, which is to secure strong support in its key markets and to develop the promotion of archery worldwide.   Running on his concept of intense archery competitions in spectacular places (for examples: Panathinaiko Stadium in Athens, Mayapan Pyramids in Mexico, seven-star hotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai), archery has now regular highlights distribution on 40 broadcasters and truly covers the world.   For the Korean territory, MBC will have exclusive access to highlights, world feeds and extended footage of three stages of the Archery World Cup and the Archery World Cup Final in 2008. The exclusivity is for terrestrial, cable, satellite and DMB to mobile phones. The access to news and internet images remains non-exclusive.   MBC Korea is also appointed as the Host Broadcaster for the Archery World Championship 2009 in Ulsan, Korea.   FITA is delighted to have reached an exclusive agreement with MBC, a traditional leader for television in Korea. Archery has a long series of success in Korea and this agreement will further enhance the media coverage of the top archers in the world for Korea.   The next stage of the Archery World Cup starts on 27 May in Antalya, Turkey.   Didier Miéville FITA Communication Director
