Today, the team elimination matches took place in the morning. The teams hoped to qualify for the finals and shoot on the beach in the afternoon.
Compound Women
Anna Kazantseva (RUS) The match was hard because of the wind! The sight was going from right to left. It was very difficult, but fortunately we won.
I have looked at the image of the field of play for the finals, but I don’t know the situation there. We will face the team of Great Britain this afternoon for gold and we hope to win.
Nicky Hunt (GBR) It was a good match for us. It was really windy out there and the time was therefore critical. The Venezuelans lost an arrow because of that in the third end. After that, it was a completely different match.
The beach will be different, but probably windy as well. I don’t know the place very well. I’ve been on the beach last year, but not yet this year. I’m really looking forward to it!
Luzmary Guedez (VEN) The wind was blowing very hard. It was much more difficult to handle. This is the reason why we sometimes delayed our release. In the third end we shot one arrow out of time and our score was removed. Then there was nothing to do any more.
Of course, I wanted to be on the beach and I’m looking forward to it. Our team hopes to win our match there, although it won’t be for gold.
