Canadian archer BURNES cleared to compete
Beijing - 9 August 2008
John David BURNES (CAN) will compete in the ranking round to be held at the Olympic Green Archery Field today. BURNES was in the hospital earlier this week with appendix issues.
"He looks pretty good, the main priority for us now is to get calories in him," said coach Joan MCDONALD (CAN).
This is the first time Canada has qualified an archery team for the Olympic Games. Burnes’s teammates are Crispin DUENAS and Jay LYON.
