New Archery Live Scoring System
Beijing – 12 August 2008
FITA is delighted to have launched a new live scoring system in time for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
For the first time, this new live results system integrates live scoring with the visualisation of the arrow impacts on the targets and the live commentaries of each match. It also has photos of the competitors and an easy access to all the matches that will be shot in Beijing.
Since the women's team event, the fans on the World Wide Web could witness for instance “on real time” the fabulous World Record made by the Korean women’s team with 231 points. All the matches in Beijing will be played with the alternate arrow format which increases the suspense. All the matches on Court A of the Olympic Green Archery Field will be live, while the matches on Court B may be covered with a slight delay.
This system was developed by Matteo Pisani and a group of Italian volunteers. You can access it by clicking at this link. Live scoring FITA is very pleased to enhance the experience of the fans and the media thanks to this new system.
