  Recurve Cadet Men The top eight seeds all qualified for the quarter-finals. The no. 1 seed KIM Joo Wan (KOR) had strong day with scores of 115, 116 and 117 to win his three matches. In the quarters tomorrow he will play against Rajgovind SWANSI (IND). Heorhiy IVANYTSKYY (UKR) was the first one to break a World Record today with 117 points in his 1/32 elimination match. However, he only scored 98 points in the next round and lost against Hemanta BASUMATARY (IND). The Indian will meet his teammate Atanu DAS in the quarter. CHEN Yu-Cheng (TPE) was consistent, scoring 111, 110 and again 111 points. However, his 1/16 eliminations’ opponent Mattia VIECELI (ITA) also scored 111. A shoot-off was needed. VIECELI scored 9 but CHEN had a perfect 10. He will face SHIN Jae Hun (KOR) tomorrow. Maciej FALDZINSKI (POL) and Asbjorn KROM-THAYSEN (DEN) was tied at 110 in the 1/8 eliminations. The Polish scored a 9 and that was enough to beat the Dane’s 8. FALDZINSKI will face Kim Hyun (KOR) in the quarter-final.   Recurve Cadet Women Seven of the top eight seeds made it through. The no. 1 LIM Su Ji (KOR) scored 115, 111 and 116. She will face Lidiia SICHENIKOVA (UKR) in the quarter-final. Tatiana SEGINA (RUS) achieved a magnificent 118 to take the World Record in this category and will shoot against TAN Ya-Ting (TPE) tomorrow. The no. 11 seed LIN Shih-Chia (TPE) broke the top 8 hegemony, when she beat Polina RODIONOVA (UKR) 110-107. LIN will meet CHEN Yeqing (TPE). The last quarter-final will feature the recent, surprising Olympian Mariana AVITIA (MEX) against OH Da Mee (KOR)!   Compound Cadet Men The no. 1 seed Robert BOTJI (HUN) did not survive the 1/8 eliminations. He scored a very good 117 points but Joey HUNT III (USA) had a great match with 119 points! HUNT will face Phillip GOWER (GBR) tomorrow. The no. 4 seed Yiftach SWERY (NZL) shot well and will face the no. 21 qualifier Corey ANTHONY (CAN). James HIRTH (AUS) beat the no. 3 seed Connor KELLY (USA) in the 1/8 eliminations and will meet C. A. ARMENDARIZ (MEX) in the quarter. Christopher PERKINS (CAN) had to go to a third arrow shoot-off and a measurement “closest to centre” to beat Nicklas FRIESE (DEN) in the 1/16 eliminations. However, later on PERKINS could not do anything against the 119 points of Luca DI BENEDETTO (ITA). The Italian will face another Mexican, no. 2 seed C. A. RODRIGUEZ in the quarter-final.   Compound Cadet Women Out of the top 8 archers, only the no. 9 seed Matea KOLAREK (CRO) could squeeze in the quarter-final when she beat the no. 8 Fanni BOGNAR (HUN) 116-114. KOLAREK will play against the no. 1 Tristan SKARVAN (USA). The best performance in this category was the World Record of Ekaterina KOROBEYNIKOVA (RUS) with 118 points! She will play against Jorina COETZEE (RSA) tomorrow. The other quarter-finals are: K. S. MONTELLANO (MEX) vs. Kailey JOHNSTON (USA) and G. J.
