FITA Council Member Mario SCARZELLA re-elected as FITARCO President

The Italian Archery Federation (FITARCO) held its General Assembly on Sunday 18 January 2009. Mario SCARZELLA photo was confirmed as President for a third consecutive term of office. The entire Council was also re-elected.
Mario SCARZELLA was the only candidate standing for election as FITARCO President. The Assembly expressed its complete faith in the work he has done during his two previous 4-year term electing him by 97.20% of the votes, a majority never seen before. “I thank all the FITARCO members for their vote and I am touched by it”, President SCARZELLA said after being re-elected.
During the meeting, the Italian archers Luca MELOTTO and Jessica TOMASI were awarded as FITARCO Athletes of the Year. The Italian Archery Federation also honoured its Olympic medallists from Beijing: Ilario DI BUO, Marco GALIAZZO and Mauro NESPOLI who won the team silver medal.
