The 2008 World Cup winners present in Santo Domingo were also asked about their impressions and thoughts about this year’s World Cup circuit: Recurve Women
Justyna MOSPINEK (POL) My dream is to win the Final again this year now that I’m in the Dominican Republic and well prepared for this competition. In a few days, we will see if my preparation was good enough. I was looking forward to coming here because the weather is much better than in Poland. The ocean here is beautiful and after the competition I will enjoy some swimming in the sea and have some good fun on the beach. Compound Men
Dietmar TRILLUS (CAN) I plan to shoot all four events and hope to shoot well here. It would be a dream come true if I make the Final again. I will do the best I can but most of all have fun. There are many good shooters here and a lot of camaraderie and I get to see a lot of the world which would never have happened if it wasn’t for archery. Many of the shooters have become like family which I miss when shooting at home. It’s quite an adjustment coming from the cold and shooting in this heat. It will definitely make the competition more interesting. The organisers have put a lot of effort in this and the accommodation is great. Compound Women
Jamie VAN NATTA (USA) – celebrating her birthday I feel the conditions are better this year so I expect to do better than last year. It’s beautiful and the tournament is well run. I am happy to shoot outdoors again and would like to wish everybody a great year! Chantal STEINER/Dean ALBERGA FITA Communication
