16 April 2009 - Partnership announcement between FITA and DHL

PRESS RELEASE   Lausanne (SUI) – 16 April 2009     Archery on the move with DHL   The International Archery Federation (FITA) is pleased to announce a 1-year partnership agreement with DHL.   The Swiss arm of the company, DHL Logistics Switzerland, has negotiated this partnership with FITA and is now the Official Freight Forwarder for the Archery World Cup and World Championships. DHL will move all the equipment needed to successfully organize archery events all over the world. The Archery World Cup started last week in Santo Domingo.  The next two stages will be at the seaside resorts of Porec (CRO) and Antalya (TUR). The archers’ next stop will be in the modern downtown of metropolitan Shanghai (CHN). Finally, the season will culminate with the World Championships in Ulsan (KOR) and the World Cup Final in Copenhagen (DEN) in September.   In this challenging period, FITA is very proud to welcome another partner who will play a key role in the successful operation of archery events. DHL embodies a competitive and winning spirit; it prides itself on going the extra mile towards excellence.
