7th Arab Competition in Saudi Arabia
Lausanne – 30 April 2009
Abdullah ABU-SHAL, Ken BEARMAN, Peter WADDELL and Neil DIMMOCK
The Saudi Arabian Shooting & Archery Federation hosted the 7th Arab Archery Competition from 23 March to 2 April with the participation of Qatar, Libya, Iraq, Egypt, Kuwait and Syria. Mr Peter WADDELL, Director of the Saudi-British Sports Cooperation Programme, participated at the archery event. A coaches and judges clinic was conducted under the guidance of Mr Neil DIMMOCK (FITA Judge) and Mr Ken BEARMAN (FITA Coaches Committee).
This was a jointly cooperation between two countries for the development of archery which FITA encourages among all its Member Associations.
Some quite acceptable scores were recorded despite of heavy wind blowing strongly from right to left.
