New Compound format test a success—Peter ELZINGA and teammates enjoy new format Papendal (NED) – 3 June 2009 Shooting at the 50m hit/miss target faces
The working group of the Archery World Plan on the differentiation between compound and recurve organised its last test prior to 2009 FITA Congress. The test was held at the National Training Centre of Papendal in the Netherlands. Two other tests were held in 2008 in Lausanne and Madrid. The last test was mainly to finalise the size and colour pattern of the Hit/Miss target faces for the compound discipline. Among the archers testing the system was the new world record holder for the FITA Round, Peter ELZINGA photo who was defeated in the final match by Rob POLMAN who just joined the 1400 club.
