FITA Honorary Vice President and Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group Chairman Mr CHUNG Mong-koo received the 2009 James A. Van Fleet Award from Mr Donald GREGG, Chairman of the Korea Society, a U.S.-based non-profit organisation for Korea-U.S. friendship.
Mr CHUNG received this award for his contributions to boosting ties between South Korea and the United States, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York on 9 June 2009. CHUNG was the co-winner of this year’s award with former U.S. Secretary of State Mr Henry KISSINGER.
